Mental Wellbeing

Mental wellbeing describes how we cope with the stresses and strains of everyday life. All of us go through periods in our life when we struggle to cope. At times, it’s easy to identify the root of the issue: you may have experienced loss, loneliness or have relationship issues, or you may be worried about work or money. Having a long-term health condition like Hepatitis C or HIV can also have a significant impact on your mental health and wellbeing. It can affect how you feel about yourself and the way in which you manage your daily life.

At Waverley Care we understand that when you’re struggling to cope, it can be helpful to speak to someone who can understand, empathise and listen without judgement.

We appreciate that every person is different and that every person has different ways of coping. We will work with you to identify the steps that you need to take to improve your mental wellbeing. It may be through practical support like financial planning or learning new skills, one-to-one emotional support or by joining one of the groups that we offer.
