Advocacy and Information

Our Advocacy and Information service is often the first point of contact for new service users to Waverley Care’s general support services. The project workers will carry out initial assessments and refer on to other organisations or Waverley Care services as appropriate.

Both for new and existing service users the project also offers support, information and advocacy on a number of issues such as housing, benefits, immigration, legal problems and HIV treatment.

Information sessions on HIV and Hepatitis C are also provided by the service to ensure that people living with HIV in Scotland receive up to date information on the latest issues and treatment news in the sector.
