Arts
Waverley Care Arts Project uses the arts as a medium for people affected by HIV or Hepatitis C to express themselves and their feelings about their diagnosis.
The project’s work can be wide-ranging and varied and has encompassed sculpture, painting, drama, poetry and musical workshops. A choice of individual and group work is available which allows for both one to one emotional support and peer support.
The project works closely with other Waverley Care projects. In 2006 for example a short film made with our women’s group, ISIS, was chosen to open the Film Festival linked to the 16th World AIDS Conference in Toronto.
