Counselling
Waverley Care’s Counselling Service aims to provide a safe and confidential space for anyone who is affected by HIV or Hepatitis C to talk about the issues facing them.
Partners, family and close friends can all be affected by a positive diagnosis and the counselling service is open to them as well as to the person with the condition.
People access counselling for many reasons including health concerns, family and relationship problems, employment issues, self-esteem and fears for the future.
Six sessions are initially available but more can be offered if needed. The approach our counsellors take is a person centred one where the individual is at the heart of the service. All of our counsellors are professionally trained, qualified and supervised.
The service is free of charge although donations are always welcome.
