Messiah

We are delighted announce our next ‘Come & Sing’ event – a fantastic opportunity to sing Handel’s Messiah under the baton of Christopher Bell.
Waverley Care Patron, Christopher, regularly delights our ‘Come & Sing’ participants with his enthusiastic approach and witty Irish banter and we’re excited to have him back for another event. The Sunday Times heralds him as ‘one of the great chorusmasters of his generation’.

The concert will take place at St Mary’s Cathedral, 300 Great Western Road, Glasgow on Saturday 4th February 2012 at 7.30 pm.

Rehearsals: Singers’ rehearsals take place from 2pm – 5.30pm on 4th February. An optional note learning rehearsal will take place at St Margaret’s Newlands, 353 Kilmarnock Road, Glasgow on Saturday 28th January from 2 – 5 pm.

Music: Copies of the Watkins Shaw Edition of the Messiah score will be available to hire at the note learning rehearsal or on the day of the concert. Please indicate on registration if you wish to reserve a score.
