Annie Lennox unveils for 46664
19 Aug 09Director David Johnson was one of several Waverley Care guests invited to the unveiling of an engraved Caithness paving stone in the grounds of Edinburgh City Chambers.
The stone celebrates Nelson Mandela’s 46664 charity of which Annie Lennox is a UK Ambassador. The stone bears the words “It’s in our hands” and Annie Lennox spoke passionately of the need for each of us to take responsibility for challenging the stigma which is still associated with HIV.
As well as having Annie Lennox’s handprints engraved in the stone, it also has the hand prints of 15 year old Steven who is a member of our PozYouth Group.
