Inspiring volunteer!

Our volunteer Lil dropped into the office this afternoon to show us her Inspiring Volunteering award which was recently presented to her by the Lord Provost. 

Lil, who celebrated her 80th birthday earlier this year, has been volunteering for Waverley Care for 17 years and has seen some changes over that time. She's had a few different volunteering roles over the years as well, from working in the cafe at Solas to helping in our Children and Families project, always with a little fundraising thrown in for good measure. In fact you may bump into Lil at the Fringe this year as she says she'll be heading up to the Pleasance Courtyard to shake a few buckets!

We could not do without the untiring support of volunteers like Lil and she is a deserved winner and inspiration to us all.
