Could you be a buddy?

20 Jul 10

Our Buddy Service has years of experience in bringing people together to form positive relationships that reduce isolation and are a real benefit to people's lives.

We are currently looking for buddies from across the Lothians to provide support to people living with Hepatitis C. As a buddy you can provide wide and varied support, from meeting for a coffee, to going out for a walk, or attending medical appointments. You will spend 2.5 hours per week in the role of buddy, this can be 1 day per month or a half day per fortnight.

While some of our buddies are studying to become doctors or social workers we welcome buddies from all walks of life. Waverley Care provides full induction and training as well as ongoing supervision and support. All buddies must take part in our buddy training which takes place over 4 Saturdays from 10am until 4pm.
