Sing a New Song with Composer, Bob Chilcott and STV’s Stephen Jardine

17 Sept 10

Registration is now open for singers to take part in our next ‘Come & Sing’ event on Saturday 27th November at 7.30 pm at St Cuthbert’s Church in Edinburgh.

As the culmination of our 21st birthday year, Bob Chilcott, one of the UK’s most popular composers and conductors of choral music will conduct Vaughan Williams’ Fantasia on Christmas Carols and seasonal items by John Rutter and by Bob Chilcott himself.

The concert – which is hosted by Stephen Jardine, presenter of STV’s ‘The Hour’ - also includes the final of our Sing a New Song Christmas carol writing competition. The six short-listed carols will be performed by Edinburgh-based choir, Cadenza, and the winner and runner-up will be announced. Audience members will also have the opportunity to vote for their favourite in the Caledonian Hilton Audience Prize.

Sing a New Song is sponsored by Sir Tom and Lady Farmer.
