Shirley Manson supports Evening News Appeal

Positive Care for Kids Donation Button

We’re delighted to announce that we have been selected by the Edinburgh Evening News as the beneficiaries of their Christmas appeal.

Entitled Positive Care for Kids, the appeal focuses on the work of our Children & Families Project. Over the next three weeks, the Evening News will feature stories of children and young people who use our services, enabling readers to hear first-hand accounts of what it is like to live in families affected by HIV and to understand the impact of stigma on their young lives.

Backed up by a video appeal on the Evening News website, the campaign also features an interview with Waverley Care’s Patron, Shirley Manson.

As well as raising much-needed funds, the appeal will help us in the process of breaking down barriers of stigma and discrimination and raising awareness of the benefits of our work in this vital area.
