21st Birthday Annual Review

15 Dec 10

Today sees us launch our 2009/10 Annual Review and our special 21st Birthday Review.  Throughout 2010 we have been celebrating 21 years of Waverley Care and our new 21 year Review document highlights the key events and achievements of the charity.

It was on the 17th February 1989 that the first meeting of Waverley Care Trust was held in Edinburgh, chaired by the then Lord Provost, Eleanor McLaughlin.  Since then our services have adapted and developed so that we now support people living with HIV and Hepatitis C right across Scotland.  We saw Milestone House opened in 1991 by Princess Diana and have also had visits from many well known names including Sean Connery, Stephen Fry and our very own patron Alexander McCall Smith.

We are delighted about the difference we have made to people's lives over the last 21years.  Looking forward, we will continue our work supporting people living with HIV and Hepatitis C in Scotland and hope for a day when our services will no longer be needed.
