Visit from The Lord High Commissioner

24 May 11

On Saturday afternoon the staff and service users at our Milestone respite centre were honoured to be visited by His Grace, The Lord High Commissioner and Her Grace, Lady Wilson.

The Lord High Commissioner is the Queen’s personal representative to the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland.

Lord and Lady Wilson were led on a tour of Milestone by Waverley Care’s Chairman, Tom Wood, and Director, David Johnson. After hearing about the history of the centre, the visitors were then treated to afternoon tea where they chatted to staff and service users and learnt more about living with HIV in Scotland and the work of Waverley Care.

David Johnson said ‘We were delighted to welcome Lord and Lady Wilson to visit Milestone. Such visits provide a real morale booster for both residents and staff.’
