Canon Gideon Byamugisha speaks to Scotland

Waverley Care hosted a successful event on Sunday 10th July at St John's Church, Princes Street, Edinburgh called 'Scotland is Positive'. 

Canon Gideon Byamugisha, an Anglican priest from Uganda, spoke at the event about his experience of living with HIV and challenged Scotland to fight HIV stigma and discrimination. The event was a taster event for the forthcoming Festival of Spirituality and Peace which runs from 6th - 29th August. 

Mark Lazarowicz, MP for Edinburgh North and Leith, also took part in the discussion speaking about HIV policy in Scotland and internationally, and about how we can challenge discrimination.  Mark features the event on his website. Click here to read the full article on Mark Lazarowicz's website
