Our History & Achievements

Waverley Care was founded in 1989 in Edinburgh. Since then our services have adapted and responded to the changing needs of people living with HIV in Scotland. A good example of such change is the transformation of Waverley Care Milestone from the UK’s first purpose built hospice for people living with HIV to an intensive residential support unit and a community support service.

Equally important has been the development of new services to changing client groups such as our African Health Project for Scotland’s African community.

We have developed a wide range of innovative and award winning services.
