Positive Scotland

Positive Scotland is a joint project delivered by Terrence Higgins Trust and Waverley Care and is funded by the Big Lottery. Our work focuses on helping people when they may be facing change or experiencing anxieties about the future; this could be for a number of reasons such as:

  • ageing with HIV and/or Hep C
  • being recently diagnosed
  • starting medication
  • thinking about returning to work or education
  • feeling isolated
  • experiencing discrimination

These are common experiences for people living with HIV and/or Hep C and Positive Scotland offers support through such difficult times to enable people to make informed decisions that are right for them.

Within the project there is specific support around, and for:

We are looking to involve members of the positive community and their friends, partners and carers through volunteering opportunities, including:

  • Peer supporters
  • Community advocates

These roles are designed to enable people living with or affected by HIV and/or Hep C to support each other or to have a say in the issues that affect the positive community.

If you would like support, more information or would like to get involved then please contact us:
