The Tartan Ribbon
Waverley Care has been using the tartan ribbon as its logo since 1995 when one of our service users gifted it to us. The ribbon was devised by him as a way of showing support to anyone affected by long-term illness and especially HIV.
Waverley Care was very grateful to be given the opportunity to use the tartan ribbon and since 1995 the ribbon has been at the forefront of our fundraising and awareness raising initiatives. Events and Awards and products have even taken on the name. The Tartan Ribbon Comedy Benefit has been running at the Pleasance in August for many years and 2007 saw the launch of the luxurious Tartan Ribbon Chocolate.
Our ribbons are made up by dedicated volunteers who in the course of a year make several thousand ribbons between them. If you want to volunteer in this way then please contact the fundraising team on 0131 556 9710 or email fund@waverleycare.org
Thanks to another of our supporters you can now have a virtual tartan ribbon - a tartan twibbon - for your Facebook or Twitter page, so if you`re on the social web please show your support for Waverley Care by clicking the link below:
