Waverley Care is delighted to be the beneficiary charity of Edinburgh Charity Orchestra's next concert, taking place on Sunday 19th February.

The concert will feature three works:

Tam O’Shanter – Malcolm Arnold
Clarinet Concerto – Carl Neilsen
Excerpts from Romeo & Juliet – Sergei Prokofiev.

The solo clarinettist is Edinburgh local Calum Robertson, currently a postgraduate student at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, and the concert will be conducted by Iain McLarty who established the orchestra.

Tickets are priced at £10 (£7 concession) and are available on the door or, with an advance booking discount, from www.xtspro.com

Edinburgh Charity Orchestra was set up in 2011 to perform large scale concerts while raising money for and awareness of the work of local charities. The orchestra is invitation only and brings together some of the best professional, student and amateur players in Edinburgh to perform alongside each other. They also aim to give young professionals experience as composers, soloists and conductors

The orchestra’s inaugural concert, in May 2011, raised in excess of £700 for The Yard, a purpose-built play facility for disabled children in Edinburgh.
