Links2Life at North Highland College

Earlier this month, our Highland team was up in Thurso to work with students at North Highland College.

We were on campus to talk to students about all things HIV and Hepatitis C, and also had the chance to talk to them about Wave, our new sexual health education programme for young people in Highland.

Following on from the presentation, we were able to hold a drop-in service, where students could come to talk to us about any aspect of their sexual health.

The visit was part of the college’s Links2Life initiative which promotes positive health and wellbeing among students.

North Highland College is one of 13 colleges that form the University of the Highlands and Islands and we work with a number of the campuses as a way to reach out to young people across the region.

Many of the colleges are also hubs for health and social care education, and provide an excellent opportunity for us to engage with future healthcare workers about the needs of people living with HIV or Hepatitis C.

A big thank you to the staff and students at North Highland College for the warm welcome. We look forward to visiting again soon!
