SX – Sexual Health & Wellbeing for Gay & Bisexual Men
SX is a Lothian-based service dedicated to improving the sex, health and wellbeing of gay and bisexual men, and all men who have sex with men.
The community-based service provides information, advice and support on all aspects of men’s physical, mental and sexual health.
We’re proud to be part of the gay and bisexual community in Edinburgh and the Lothians, and aim to reflect the diversity of the people we work with.
Through SX you can access one-to-one, group and peer support, and counselling to talk to us about any aspect of your health and wellbeing. We are a venue for M-Test, a weekly sexual health testing service delivered by NHS Lothian’s ROAM Outreach Team. We are also involved in outreach work in the local community and distribute condoms through venues across Edinburgh.
The service is funded by NHS Lothian and delivered by Waverley Care, in partnership with LGBT Health. The service has its own dedicated website, www.s-x.scot, where you can find out more about the service and how to get in touch.
Waverley Care and SX have joined with other organisations in endorsing a series of commitments to ensure that our support services for gay and bisexual men are welcoming and inclusive. You can read Our Promise here.
