6 Nations result for Waverley Care

Former Scotland rugby player, Scott Hastings, visits Waverley Care to receive a signed Scotland rugby ball

There was an electric atmosphere in Edinburgh on Saturday as Scotland kicked off their RBS 6 Nations campaign at Murrayfield.

While a home defeat to the Auld Enemy dampened the mood somewhat, the weekend’s rugby did at least bring some bring good news for Waverley Care.

We’d received a donation of a rugby ball, signed by the Scottish squad, and were asked to use it to raise money for our work. We teamed up with Accenture, the Official Technology Partner of the Championship, who generously donated £200 for the ball.

Former Scotland player, Scott Hastings, dropped by Waverley Care on Friday to collect the ball which was presented to Accenture ahead of Saturday’s match.

We’re very grateful to Accenture for their support and, with Saturday’s match firmly behind us, look forward to roaring on Scotland for the rest of the campaign.
