Annual Review 2017-18

This week, we’ve released our Annual Review for 2017/18.

In years to come, when people look back at the history of HIV and hepatitis C in Scotland, you get the feeling that the past year will be viewed as a moment when the dynamic shifted.

In the world of HIV, the game-changing decision to make PrEP available on the NHS in Scotland, and the increasing influence of the Undetectable=Untransmittable message have the potential to make a huge difference to reducing new infections.

Meanwhile, around hepatitis C, the elimination agenda in Scotland is gathering momentum among decision makers, with innovative projects reaching people who are often most isolated from support.

Waverley Care has played a part in all these developments, and more, and our Annual Review takes a look back at some the highlights – emphasising the relationships that help to make our work possible.

We believe that these relationships help us to build trust in our work, improve the support we can offer, and ensure that services are grounded in the changing needs of the people we work with.

A huge thank you to the many individuals and organisations who have supported our work over the last year.
