Thanks to Standard Life Aberdeen Lighthouse Network

At the end of January, Radi Ivanov from Waverley Care received a cheque for £1,144.62 from Kenneth Gilmour, Standard Life Aberdeen Group Company Secretary, and Amie Farrington, member of the SLA Lighthouse Network.

The company’s LGBT+ staff network, Lighthouse, promotes further inclusion in the work-place through events, networking, training and peer-to-peer support. The group partnered with The Courtyard by Marriot to throw a glitzy World AIDS Day event in aid of Waverley Care. Through the event, the team at SLA Lighthouse Network ran a raffle and auction, with Standard Life doubling the amount raised through match-funding.

Andrew Hastings, Joint Network Chair noted that “with this being the 30th anniversary of Worlds Aids Day, Lighthouse wanted to show support to the LGBT+ community and the number of people who are still affected and/or living with HIV or AIDS-related illness.”

Standard Life Aberdeen’s Lighthouse network is committed to supporting LGBT+ individuals in their working lives, and believe that supporting organisations like Waverley Care helps further their commitment to the wider community.

A big thank you from all of us at Waverley Care to SLA Lighthouse Network.
