Job Title: Health Improvement Worker (Sessional)
Salary: £13.28 per hour
Hours of work: To be worked flexibly as the service requires – the post will involve some early morning/evening work.
Reports to: Education & Training Lead
Location: Highland and Argyll & Bute - applicants can state whether they would like to be offered hours in one or both regions.
We are currently recruiting sessional Health Improvement workers to join our team in Highland and Argyll & Bute.
As part of the team, you will support the delivery of a range of activities including, sexual health and relationships education with young people, sexual health training for professionals and HIV and blood borne virus testing.
We’re looking for people who are passionate about improving the health and wellbeing of our communities, who understand the sexual health and relationships issues faced by those living in remote and rural areas, and who can contribute their skills and experience to help improve the work of the team.

Job Title: Trust and Grants Fundraiser
Salary: £30,000

The support empowers people to improve their health and wellbeing in a safe, non-judgemental environment while creating a kinder, fairer Scotland where those who have been at risk of HIV and hepatitis C feel able to get tested.
Waverley Care continues to smash stigmas across Scotland with the help of their supporters. Waverley Care are launching a new strategic plan with an ambition to transform their fundraising. They are looking to diversify their income and increase the volume of voluntary income available to deliver their services across Scotland. The Trust and Grants Fundraiser is a newly created role to support this aim. The role provides an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to build a trust and grants fundraising programme for Waverley Care, developing new systems and processes which will assist their growth. The Trust and Grants Fundraiser will be responsible for developing a wide range of small, medium, and large grant requests to various funders. You will work closely with other teams to create engaging reports.
This role is open to candidates who have fundraising experience as well as candidates with transferable skills. You may be someone who is an experienced fundraiser with strong knowledge of trusts and grants, or you may be someone with a passion for the cause with exceptional writing and storytelling skills. This role is open to a range of people whether you are someone who has been in the third sector for a while or someone who is looking to enter the sector. We are looking for someone who is an excellent stakeholder relationship manager and has the ability to influence from within the organisation.

Job Title: Board Members
Salary: Unpaid, but reasonable expenses are covered.

We are currently looking for Trustees to join our Board. Previous experience of being a charity Trustee is not essential as training and mentoring will be available to the successful candidate to develop their skills if necessary. We are looking for people who can add their insight to the Board across two broad categories, though you may bring experience in both. Namely, these are:
Bringing Lived Experience to our Decision
We are particularly keen to broaden the diversity of our board to include the voices of people from the communities we work with. These could include:
- People with lived experience of HIV or hepatitis C
- People from communities disproportionately affected by HIV
- Professionals with experience of working in the HIV sector or with communities who are affected by HIV
Widening Professional Knowledge
Equally, we are interested in hearing from people who can bring specific professional experience or qualifications in the following fields:
- Digital transformation
- Fundraising
- Marketing, Communications and PR
- Accountancy or commercial management
You will also share our values and believe passionately in supporting vulnerable people to overcome inequalities to improve their health and wellbeing and have a strong understanding of the challenges facing charities in Scotland.
