Challenging LGBTQ+ Inequality at Frank Turner’s Glasgow Gig
We’re thrilled to announce that we’re teaming up with our SX project to host a table at the upcoming Frank Turner gig on 29th January.
Taking place at the O2 Academy, we’ll be there from 6.30pm when doors open until the event ends, letting people know about the work we do while helping Frank Turner fans get active in the fight for LGBTQ+ Equality.
Our attendance at Frank Turner’s show has been facilitated by the Ally Coalition. Through tours, special events, and online campaigns, the Ally Coalition highlight organisations supporting LGBTQ+ communities, and opportunities for music fans to engage in challenging systemic inequality. You can find out more about the Ally Coalition here.
Challenging inequality experienced by LGBTQ+ communities is an important part of our work at Waverley Care and SX, with our services focused on improving the sexual health and wellbeing of people accessing support with us. We’re excited to have the opportunity to share our experience with fans at Frank Turner’s gig while providing people with the chance to ask questions and get involved.
If you’re attending Frank Turner’s gig on the 29th, make sure to drop by our table to chat with some of our friendly staff members. Resale tickets are still available so check out Ticketmaster while they’re still on sale.
