Accompanist: Morley Whitehead
We are delighted to welcome our Patron, Bob Chilcott, back to Edinburgh for another of his highly motivational and immensely popular singing days. Bob is a world renowned composer and conductor and this provides a fantastic opportunity to sing under his baton.
“As a choral director and composer, Bob Chilcott is revered. He understands choirs and gets the best from them.” The Guardian
Bob has chosen an exciting and inspirational programme of his music and, during the afternoon session, you will have the chance to explore music scored for SATB and upper voice choir as we are joined by the ever-popular Inverclyde Schools’ Junior Choir who are celebrating their 20th anniversary year.
The event will culminate in an early evening concert which will include Bob’s captivating choral suite, Five Days that Changed the World, scored for two choirs, piano and timpani and other short pieces such as Like a Singing Bird and Evening Hymn.
