Ben Nevis Trek (18-20 June 2021)
This fundraising challenge will take you into the heart of the breathtaking Western Highlands to conquer the highest peak in Britain, 1,345m above sea level!
We’d love you to trek for Waverley Care and make a positive difference in the lives of people living with or affected by HIV or Hepatitis C in Scotland.
Your trail to the summit is technically easy, but trekking Ben Nevis is a challenge - stamina and determination are a must! They'll be fun and camaraderie, and the stunning views of the highlands will be with you all the way.
All accommodation, all meals, qualified Global Adventure Challenges leaders, vehicles for back up and support, medical support, and transfer to and from Glasgow Central/International Airport.
Day 1 - Meet at Glasgow Central Train Station or Glasgow International Airport at approximately 2pm for the 3 hour transfer to Fort William - the base of all Ben Nevis ascents located on the shores of Loch Linnhe. After arriving at your accommodation, you'll have an evening meal and briefing about the weekend challenge ahead.
Day 2 - After a hearty breakfast, you'll set off on your challenge! After a group photo, you'll begin your descent which should take approximately 3 hours. In the evening, you'll mark your accomplishment with a celebratory dinner and drinks. Distance trekked today - approx. 9 miles!
Day 3 - Following breakfast, you'll transfer from Fort William to Glasgow International Airport or Glasgow Central Train Station where the challenge ends. You'll arrive in Glasgow for about 1pm.
