Smash Stigma - Annual Review 2018/19

This week, we’ve released Smash Stigma, our Annual Review for 2018/19.

This year, Waverley Care has been marking 30 years at the forefront of Scotland’s response to HIV and hepatitis C.

While we recognise the importance of our history, we know there is still so much more to do. In Smash Stigma we take a closer look at some of the innovative work that Waverley Care is involved in right now across Scotland, and take a look to the future.

It has been an exciting time for the charity, with developments in HIV and hepatitis C prevention and treatment, and our increasing involvement in sexual health work, particularly through our SX and Wave projects.

Across our work, we remain committed to challenging the stigma so often associated with HIV, hepatitis C and sexual health – stigma that not only affects the emotional health of individuals, but also fuels a reluctance for people to access testing and support.

That work would not be possible without the countless individuals and organisations who have supported us over the past year, and we would like to thank you for that continued support.

You can read our Annual Review here.
