We’re looking for people with experience of drug use and recovery to be part of our Peer Voices Group in Glasgow. This is a paid opportunity, so you’ll be employed as a sessional staff member at Waverley Care. If you would like to be involved, we’ll ask you to come along to our office at 12 Queens Crescent, for two hours once or twice each month. You will meet with other sessional workers as part of the group, alongside Ruth or Jen from our Research and Engagement Team.

Reports to: Ruth McKenna, Senior Research and Communications Manager
You’ll work with us to gather information about substance use in Glasgow, which we will use to influence policies and practice relating to drugs. The kinds of activities you might be involved in are:
One of the group activities will be identifying skills you would like to learn, so if there are things you would like to do or learn that are not listed, we can try and make this happen.
We will consider each application based on your individual circumstances and experience. We ask that applicants have been in recovery for at least one year. We are happy to accept applications from people who have sustained recovery through maintenance treatment, such as methadone or buprenorphine.
