Promoting sexual health in Highland

Waverley Care’s Highland service is set to expand with the addition of a new sexual health education programme for young people.

The new service, funded by NHS Highland, will work with people aged 24 and under across the region, to get them learning and talking about sexual health and wellbeing.

We will also be working with a whole range of organisations who work with young people to make them aware of issues around sexual health.

We are delighted to be involved in this work, which builds on our existing strong track record of delivering sexual health information, advice and training across the Highlands. Over the coming months we will be working to develop the project, including a distinct brand and new training resources.

The new service is part of a wider reorganisation of young people’s sexual health services in NHS Highland. Under the new arrangements, clinical services including STI testing, pregnancy testing, and contraception will now be delivered by the NHS Highland Sexual Health team under the name North25. For more information on these services, contact Highland Sexual Health on 01463 888300.
