Volunteers’ Week

Happy Volunteers’ Week!

And a huge thank you to all of our wonderful volunteers! Your support helps make a real difference and we simply couldn’t do what we do without you.

To mark Volunteers’ Week we have a host of activities planned for current and prospective volunteers alike, as well as some upcoming volunteering opportunities for people to get involved in.

Monday 3rd June – we visited the Scottish Widows offices at Morrison Street to talk with staff about our great volunteering opportunities.

Wednesday 5th June – we held our Summer Social at Mansfield Place for our current volunteers. It was our chance to celebrate the invaluable contribution our volunteers make to the work of Waverley Care. We also celebrated our 3 winners of this year’s Edinburgh’s Inspiring Volunteer Awards.

Saturday 8th June from 11 am until 4 pm, we will be chatting to the people who walk past our office at Mansfield Place, inviting them in to learn about our work and hopefully gaining a few new volunteers along the way.
