Walking back to happiness

Our Edinburgh walking group was recently featured in Footnotes, the volunteer magazine of walking charity, Paths for All.

The article focuses on Lucy*, who first came to the group following her diagnosis with HIV in 1994.

At first, Lucy joined the group for a bit of exercise and fresh air. However, she soon found that it was a great way to meet other people in similar situations and make new friends.

20 years on, Lucy is still an active member and credits the group with helping her make lifelong friends.

The group, which meets fortnightly, organises outings for walkers of all abilities in and around Edinburgh.  It is a place where people can be themselves without fear of judgement for their HIV or Hepatitis C status.

If you are interested in joining the group, contact Gabrielle Spencer for more information.
