Jock Blyth

Jock Blyth has been a supporter of Waverley Care since his sister, Pam, died in 2011. Pam spent a lot of time at Milestone – our Residential Outreach and Support Service so Jock decided to honour her memory by raising funds for Waverley Care. But not like anyone had raised funds for us before….

Jock, a peace loving vegan punk musician, came up with the idea of ‘Punk for Pam’ concerts. The first year he organised the event, he held it on Pam’s birthday in 2012 in Edinburgh and over 100 people attended. The following year he decided to go further and arranged three gigs, one each in Birmingham, Newcastle and Edinburgh. 18 bands took part and over 600 people enjoyed concerts.

Each year more and more bands want to take part in ‘Punk for Pam’ and it has become a real ‘event’ on the punk scene.

Up to 2015, Jock has raised almost £7,000 for Waverley Care.
