Why did you choose to work for Waverley Care?

Coming from Sub-Saharan Africa, a region that has the largest number of people living with HIV, I wanted to be part of the global movement that is tirelessly working to stop the spread of HIV and putting an end to AIDS.

What do you most enjoy about working with Waverley Care?

Working with our service users and communities to gradually end HIV stigma which is a massive barrier to testing and treatment adherence is an enjoyable process, well knowing that if we get it right the positive impact will save lives.

What do you do in your spare time?

I love working with community groups around capacity building, listening to music, reading and watching movies.

Who inspires you?

I am particularly inspired by individuals in history who risked their lives for the masses and helped to end some of the historical injustices. My main inspirations are Nelson Mandela, Martin Luther King and Muhammad Ali. I always remind myself that the freedom I experience is because of people like them- what they achieved is truly inspirational.
