Peer Support

At Waverley Care, we can put you in touch with one of our trained peer mentors who have lived experience of HIV, who can help you work through some of the challenges you may be facing in your day to day life.

We provide opportunities for people living with HIV to meet up, socialise and get support from each other in a confidential, relaxed setting both as a group and one to one with a trained peer mentor. Additionally, we also offer support to families and those close to people living with HIV.

Please complete the form below, and a member of our team will be in touch.

HIV Aloud: Raise the Curtain

HIV Aloud: Raise the Curtain is a creative writing and theatre project by Edinburgh Playhouse and Waverley Care, inviting adults living with HIV to share their stories as part of a programme to raise awareness and reduce stigma in Scotland. Running from January 2026 and led by award-winning theatre maker Drew Taylor Wilson, the project will culminate in a summer 2026 showcase. To take part, contact Iain Johnston at Waverley Care (iain.johnston@waverleycare.org). Download this pack for more information.
