2018 is Waverley Care’s 27th year of working alongside our friends at the Fringe’s biggest venue, the Pleasance.
Our amazing teams of volunteer bucket shakers have become a common sight over the years as audiences have flocked to the Pleasance Courtyard and Pleasance at EICC each August. Thanks to this band of bucketeers, Waverley Care raised an amazing £41,500 at last year’s Fringe!
Volunteering is a great way to soak up the Fringe atmosphere, do a bit of celebrity-spotting and meet new people while making a positive difference in the lives of people living with or affected by HIV or hepatitis C in Scotland.
We’re now on the lookout for volunteers to help out at this year’s Fringe. As part of the team, you’ll be collecting donations and chatting to Fringe-goers in the Courtyard, alongside collections outside shows that are supporting us.
We’re there every day between 2 – 27 August, from mid-afternoon until late evening. Shifts tend to be 2-6pm or 6.30-10pm, but we can be flexible if you can only commit to a couple of hours.
