Milestone House Update

A Fond Farewell to Milestone House: A New Chapter for Waverley Care For over three decades, Milestone House has been a sanctuary of care, compassion and community for people living with HIV. It was the UK’s first purpose-built AIDS hospice, and it holds an important place in both Waverley Care’s history and the lives of countless individuals and families. But as the landscape of HIV care has changed, so must we.

Volunteering with Impact

This year, we spoke with Iain, Waverley Care’s Peer Support and Volunteering Coordinator (East), to learn more about how peer volunteers are transforming lives and what they mean to the wider work of Waverley Care. Our volunteers play a vital role in everything we do; from fundraising and events to trustees on our board and direct peer support.

HIV in Scotland

An update published by Public Health of Scotland provides the latest statistics on HIV diagnoses, PrEP uptake and access to HIV care and treatment in Scotland.

Fringe 2023

A massive thank you to everyone who generously devoted their time and supported us at this year's festivals. By pooling together all the fundraising efforts during the festivals in August, we anticipate that this year's final fundraising total will reach an impressive £61,427.56! These amazing contributions will play a crucial role in our mission to #GetToZero new HIV transmissions in Scotland by 2030.

Pride 2023

Thank you to everyone who donated to Waverley Care to mark Pride month in June! Whether you dropped your spare change into a collection tin, bought a Pride cocktail or tapped to donate in your favourite bar, thank you. Your support will help us get to zero new HIV transmissions by 2030.

Say hello to the new Waverley Care!

This week, Waverley Care launched our brand-new look and website. As we work to end new HIV transmissions in Scotland, we know that this will help us to reach more people living with, or at risk of, HIV than ever before.
