We are passionate about working with organisations to create a Scotland where everyone living with HIV has access to the support they need.

Workplace Fundraising
From challenging sponsored events and mind-boggling quizzes, to red themed bake sales and dress down days for World AIDS Day, fundraising at work can bring colleagues together. We’d love to discuss how we can inspire your team to fundraise for Waverley Care. Your organisation may even offer matched funding to double the total raised from your efforts.
Volunteering
Your employees can put their volunteering days to good use at Milestone, our residential care centre in Edinburgh. Our enthusiastic volunteers maintain the gardens, ensuring the surroundings inspire peace and relaxation for our residents. No experience is required and we provide all tools and training. You might be weeding, planting flowers, mowing the lawn, trimming hedges or cutting back trees. Lunch is provided by our catering team, and you’ll hear about our work at Milestone, past and present, from staff and volunteers.
Bucket Shaking
Waverley Care has a long history of working in partnership with theatres, comedians and production companies. We’re the proud charity partner of the Edinburgh Playhouse and the Pleasance at the Fringe. We’d love your team to collect donations from generous audience members as they leave the shows.
Ribbon Making
We distribute up to 25,000 tartan ribbons annually, mostly during the Fringe Festival. Waverley Care’s tartan arrives at our office in reels, and we need help turning this into ribbons that can be worn proudly.
Payroll Giving
Also known as Give As You Earn (GAYE), payroll giving allow employees to give effectively to their chosen charity. Employees can donate to Waverley Care directly from their salary, and before tax is applied. This means Waverley Care receives more and it costs you less. We can help register your organisation through an HMRC approved Payroll Giving Agency (PGA). Email fundraising@waverleycare.org or call 0131 556 9710 to find out more.
